I Need Spellcheck
I love the new editor on blogger, but the spell check button seems to be gone. Anyone else know what happened to it? There ABC icon is for strikethrough now, not spelling.

New Update Editor
Today while noodling around I found out how to enable the Email button on the settings page so people can now email my blog entries to all their friends. I found that little tidbit in a library book. While fixing that I happened upon a button that said update to the better more improved editor. So I clicked on that and it applied to all my blogs. Now the 'add a photo' icon is gone! But it didn't go too far. If you click on the compose tab there is all the photo editing buttons. It's supposed to be easier and better to add or resize or place photos where you want them. I'll give it a try.

Trying Again
Tonight I decided to try these directions: http://www.bloggerbuster.com/2007/10/how-to-use-background-image-for-your.html I love how all this sites tell me how easy it is to do, and then I still can't do it.
Shazam I just got it to work! Whew. I erased the old template and tried again with a new template and had to tweak the photobucker url a bit to exactly match the example in the hot link above. I'd about given up when it finally worked.

Still Dinkin' Around
I found this new set of directions here: and I feel like they should work, but no luck so far.
Frustrating
Making a New Template
I've been to nearly a dozen help sites, but this one looks like it may actually tell me what I want to know http://blogatech.blogspot.com/2007/04/adding-background-images-to-blogger.html
Collage Background
CSS and Background
Today's quest is to figure out how to make a new and unique blog background with animations, bells and whistles and so forth and break away from the prestructured blogger templates that have made me feel locked in and confined for years. So far I'm drowning in computer lingo but I did just find out that CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. What I haven't figured out is how to download a template to my hard drive and then add my own background photo. That is quest #1.
